Which plan is the best fit?

The biggest difference between plans is not just price. It is how much file-processing headroom you need for your real workflow. Some people only need to make the occasional image smaller for email or a website update. Others process product catalogs, scanned PDFs, and client batches every week. This section is here to make the plan choice clearer before you ever reach checkout.

Free is best for occasional jobs

The free plan is built for single-purpose tasks such as compressing a few images, reducing one PDF for an upload form, or converting a small batch without creating an account first.

Pro fits recurring publishing and client work

Pro makes more sense when you regularly prepare website assets, marketplace images, scanned documents, or client deliverables and want higher file and batch limits without moving into a team plan.

Business is for high-volume workflows

Business is aimed at teams, agencies, and operations-heavy workflows that need larger uploads, bigger batches, longer retention, and a clearer path toward API-style usage.

Billing and upgrade questions

Most upgrade questions are really about what changes after payment, how fast new limits apply, and whether the workflow remains private and temporary. The answers below are meant to make the billing flow easier to trust before you commit to a plan.

What happens after I upgrade?

After checkout completes, Slim Files refreshes your account plan and applies the larger limits tied to that subscription. If the plan label does not update immediately, a refresh or a short wait is usually enough for the new token state to propagate.

Can I cancel later?

Yes. The subscription structure is designed around normal recurring billing management rather than locking you into a long contract. Billing changes are handled through Stripe-backed account management.

Does a paid plan change file privacy?

No. Paid plans raise usage limits and retention windows, but they do not turn uploads into public files. Processing still uses the same server-side validation and short-lived workflow model.

Which plan should I choose if I mainly work with product images or client uploads?

Pro is usually the right starting point for recurring content, ecommerce, and document work. Business becomes more relevant when your team needs much larger files, bigger batches, or longer-lived access to processed outputs.
