Privacy Policy

These pages explain how Slim Files handles data, usage expectations, and service boundaries in straightforward terms so users know what to expect before uploading or processing files.

Last Updated: May 10, 2026

Section 1

WHO THIS POLICY APPLIES TO

This policy applies to visitors who browse Slim Files, use the public tools, create an account, or contact support. The operator and data controller for site operations and policy questions is Online Data Network LLC, based in Florida, United States, reachable through legal@slimfiles.net. Slim Files is operated as an independent web product and this policy will be updated as the service and public business details evolve.

Section 2

FILE HANDLING AND TEMPORARY STORAGE

Uploaded files are written to temporary server storage so they can be validated and processed. Original files are removed as soon as processing is complete. Processed output files remain available only for the retention window tied to the current plan and are then removed by cleanup routines. Files are not published publicly by default and are not retained as a long-term storage archive. Because uploads may sit briefly on server disk during processing, you should not use Slim Files for material that requires specialized regulated storage or guarantees beyond ordinary hosted web infrastructure.

Section 3

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

If you sign in or contact support, Slim Files may collect your email address and related account identifiers. The service also records limited operational details needed to run the tools safely, such as plan checks, temporary job state, request timing, and aggregate processing statistics. The goal of those records is abuse prevention, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and product maintenance rather than profiling users around file contents.

Section 4

WHAT WE DO NOT INTENTIONALLY STORE

Slim Files is not designed to keep long-term copies of your uploaded documents or images. File contents and filenames are not intended for long-term analytics storage, advertising profiles, or model training. If a support issue requires troubleshooting, users should assume that operational metadata may be inspected, but the default workflow is short-lived processing rather than persistent archiving.

Section 5

ADVERTISING, COOKIES, AND ANALYTICS

Slim Files does not currently display third-party advertising on the site. Slim Files intends to introduce Google AdSense advertising on editorial pages such as guides once participation in the AdSense program is approved. When advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, or similar technologies to serve ads based on a user's visit to this site and other sites on the internet. Users will be able to manage or opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com/ and can review more information about how Google uses data in advertising at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Slim Files separately uses first-party session and authentication cookies needed to keep signed-in users logged in and to maintain access to account-related features. These first-party cookies are not used for advertising.

Section 6

THIRD-PARTY INFRASTRUCTURE

Slim Files currently relies on external infrastructure providers for authentication, payment, hosting, and related operational services. That includes Firebase for account and token flows, Stripe for billing-related payment operations, and hosting infrastructure used to serve the application and process temporary jobs. Those providers may process data as necessary to deliver their services, but Slim Files does not present them as marketing partners or content buyers.

Section 7

INTERNATIONAL PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data that Slim Files controls, along with the right to object to or limit certain processing. Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or other jurisdictions with similar privacy laws may contact legal@slimfiles.net or support@slimfiles.net to make a request. Because Slim Files intentionally minimizes persistent storage, some requests may be limited by the fact that the service does not keep long-term copies of uploaded files by design.

Section 8

LIMITATIONS AND SENSITIVE DATA

Slim Files is built for practical file workflows, not for highly regulated or specialized custody scenarios. If your files contain highly sensitive personal, medical, legal, or trade-secret information, you should evaluate whether a browser-based utility site is the correct environment before uploading them. This policy is meant to help users make that judgment honestly rather than assume guarantees that are not offered.

Section 9

POLICY UPDATES

As the product evolves, this policy may change to reflect new features, new infrastructure, or clearer business identity details. Material changes should be reflected here with an updated date so users can see when the explanation last changed.

Section 10

CONTACT

For privacy or data-handling questions, contact legal@slimfiles.net or support@slimfiles.net. Include the page or workflow involved and the nature of your question so support can respond with the most relevant implementation details.
