Your privacy matters. This page describes exactly what Slim Files does with your data.

1. FILE HANDLING Uploaded files are written to a temporary directory on our server, processed, and the original is deleted as soon as processing completes. Processed output files are kept on disk for up to 60 minutes (longer for paid plans, see your plan's retention setting) and then automatically deleted by a scheduled cleanup task. Files are NOT encrypted at rest while they sit in temporary storage; do not upload material whose plaintext you would not entrust to standard server-side disk encryption provided by your hosting provider. Files are NOT shared with third parties or used to train any model.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT We collect your email address only when you create an account or contact us. We collect aggregate, non-identifying processing statistics (file count, bytes saved) for capacity planning. We do not log file contents or filenames in long-term storage.

3. ADVERTISING & COOKIES If advertising is shown, Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. You can control ad personalization through Google's ad settings and similar controls offered by other ad vendors. We use a first-party session cookie to keep you signed in when authentication is enabled.

4. SERVICE PROVIDERS We use Google Cloud / Firebase for authentication and metadata storage. These providers maintain SOC2 and ISO 27001 certifications.
