Legal & Policy
Terms of Service
These pages explain how Slim Files handles data, usage expectations, and service boundaries in straightforward terms so users know what to expect before uploading or processing files.
Section 1
ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing or using Slim Files, you agree to these terms and to any related policies published on the site. If you do not agree, you should not use the service.
Section 2
PERMITTED USE
Slim Files may be used for personal, professional, and internal business workflows that fit the product's intended purpose: temporary browser-based image and PDF processing. You may not use the service to distribute malware, bypass technical limits, automate abusive traffic, interfere with the platform, or scrape any future API or internal processing endpoint without permission.
Section 3
SERVICE SCOPE
Slim Files is a utility product, not a document-management platform or a long-term storage vault. Features, file limits, retention windows, and processing behavior may differ by plan and may change over time as the product evolves. Public pages should be interpreted as describing the current service scope, not an unlimited service commitment.
Section 4
NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS
Compression, conversion, and resizing outcomes depend on the source file and the chosen workflow. Slim Files does not guarantee that every PDF can be reduced to an exact target size or that every image conversion will preserve every possible source characteristic. The service aims for practical results, not impossible guarantees.
Section 5
ACCOUNT, PLAN, AND BILLING TERMS
Some features and limits depend on whether a visitor is anonymous, signed in, or subscribed to a paid plan. Billing operations are handled through Stripe-backed workflows. Subscription behavior, renewal, cancellation, and related plan changes are governed by the checkout and billing flow that is active at the time of purchase. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or by an explicit billing policy.
Section 6
TEMPORARY FILE PROCESSING
Slim Files is built around short-lived file handling. Users remain responsible for the material they upload and for determining whether the service is appropriate for their use case. You should not rely on the platform as your only copy of an important document or image set.
Section 7
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
Slim Files is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, no warranty is made that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, fit for a specific legal or regulated workflow, or compatible with every possible file input.
Section 8
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Slim Files will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or business-interruption damages arising from the use of or inability to use the service. This includes loss that results from unsupported inputs, failed uploads, or reliance on a file-processing outcome without independent verification.
Section 9
CHANGES TO THE SERVICE OR TERMS
The service and these terms may change over time. When the terms change materially, the updated version should be published here with a revised date so users can understand which version applies.
Section 10
